PACS Radiology Furniture

• The PACSBAN-24E Banana table is an adjustable ergonomic computer desk designed to be used in PACS - radiology furniture, medical office furniture applications, as well as command console furniture, and in 911 furniture applications.
• It is in a class by itself for bringing ergonomic design to computer intensive environments. Originally introduced in 1995 it won the prestigious “GOLD-Best of NEOCON.” It has been copied, but still has no match in features or value price. As a matter of fact several competitors offer height adjustability, but only on the front surface for thousands of dollars more than the Banana table.

• The Banana Table ergonomic computer desk has plenty of room for multiple monitor workstations. The dimensions are 104”W x 53.5”D. The front surface is 23”D and the back is 19 5/8”D. Designed to allow you the ability to position your monitors horizontally - or vertically with our LCD flat panel monitor arms. Note: depending on the monitor arm, you can mount your monitors with three methods. Either the edge clamp, the grommet mount or a desktop mount . If you use the edge clamp you will not be able to attach the cable tray pictured above left. If you want to use the cable tray you will need to mount the monitor arms using the grommet mount w/the thru-bolt that will require you drilling a 5/8" hole thru the back surface at the position of your choice.

• Strength: The Banana Table is incredibly strong due to the heavy duty steel sub-structure which is 11 Gauge 1” x 2” steel tubing. Click the drawing above left to see this and how it supports the tops and all the equipment you can place on the top. Additionally, the connection from the top to the steel sub-structure is a nut to bolt connection which is a much stronger connection compared to other manufacturers. Competing manufacturers do not have a steel sub-structure and just run wood screws in to the undersides of the tops and are not nearly as strong.

• Cable management: The Banana table/adjustable ergonomic computer desk is equipped with a cable tray in the rear of the monitor surface. Picture above left. The cable tray conceals and distributes all the wiring required. Additional cable storage is incorporated into horizontal channels in the bases. You can also add a vertical privacy panel.
that provides a visual barrier to the back of the monitors and the power-data cables. The height is 18" by the width of the console in black. Made from extruded/expanded plastic, it is lightweight, strong and attaches to the cable tray. Prices are above under "privacy panel" options.

• Power consumption: The front surface has two electric motors and the back surface also has two electric motors that adjust independent of the other. The power consumption of each set of motors is 5.2 amps when loaded with up to 600 lbs. The motors are DC and draw 24 volts when in use.
