The Elan EFS-310 drafting chair - lab stool was designed specifically for heavy duty use as lab furniture in computer labs, drafting, and classrooms from high school through the university levels. The original designer of this chair was asked why his farmer friends could sit on a tractor all day, and return the next day without experiencing significant discomfort. At the same time the designer himself had difficulty sitting on an upholstered office chair for a few hours without needing a break. As a result, the finished design incorporated a contoured back/seat similar to that of the early tractor seat an incorporates the following ergonomic features.- Five star base for stability.
- Castors or floor glides.
- Steel frame 3/4" for strength. Frame color is black powder coated.
- Contoured polypropylene seat and back. Available in 8 standard colors.
- Dimensions: W = 20.5" / D = 21" / seat height = 29" to 35" w/gas cylinder.
- Swivels 360 degrees.
- Warranty 25 years on frame, 10 years on all components including gas cylinder and base, 5 years on polypropylene seat and back.
- Fixed back does not tilt on this drafting chair - lab stool.
