The PACSBAN24-E Banana table is an adjustable height desk for use in PACS Workstation applications. It is in a class by itself for bringing ergonomic design to computer intensive environments such as a radiology reading room. It has been copied, but still has no match in features or value.
- Ergonomically correct: This PACS computer desk is curved to embrace the human form and respond to the dynamic movements of the computer user. Much like the cockpit of a fighter jet that wraps around the pilot for maximum efficiency.
- The Banana Table dispatch console has plenty of room for multiple monitor workstations. Review drawing above left. Designed to allow you the ability to position your monitors horizontally - or vertically with our LCD flat panel monitor arms. Note: depending on the monitor arm, you can mount your monitors with three methods. Either the edge clamp, the grommet mount or a desktop mount . If you use the edge clamp you will not be able to attach the cable tray pictured above left. If you want to use the cable tray you will need to mount the monitor arms using the grommet mount w/the thru-bolt that will require you drilling a 5/8" hole thru the back surface at the position of your choice.
- Strength: The Banana Table is incredibly strong due to the heavy duty steel sub-structure. Click the drawing above left to see this. Plus the connection from the top to the steel sub-structure is a nut to bolt connection which is a much stronger connection compared to other manufacturers. Competing manufacturers do not have a steel sub-structure and just run wood screws in to the undersides of the tops and are not nearly as strong.

- Cable management: The Banana table dispatch console is equipped with a cable tray in the rear of the monitor surface which conceals and distributes all the wiring required. Additional cable storage is incorporated into horizontal channels in the bases. You can also add a vertical privacy panel. . that provides a visual barrier to the back of the monitors and the power-data cables. The height is 18" by the width of the console in black. Made from extruded/expanded plastic, it is lightweight, strong and attaches to the cable tray. Prices are above under "privacy panel" options.
- Dual surfaces: Banana tables have two surfaces that adjust independently of the other allowing quick and easy ergonomically correct positioning for each user. The front and back surfaces independently lift up to 600 lbs. of monitors, CPU's, printers, etc. Or for different looks review the Banana Lite adjustable computer desk that lifts 600 lbs per top or the Banana corner computer desk that also lifts 600 lbs per top.

- Tailgate delivery: Very important. If you do not have a truck tailgate high loading dock, or if your delivery address is in a residential area, you need to add "Tailgate Delivery" above right. The reason is this computer desk ships on a 53 foot long truck that has to back up to a loading dock to unload. The tailgate height of a trailer is about 4 feet above the ground. Tailgate delivery means the shipping company will bring a smaller truck that has a lift gate to offload your order. The driver is not responsible for unloading. If the delivery has to be re-scheduled you will be charged a re-delivery charge, plus the tailgate delivery charge.
