• Solid woods and veneers used on exterior surfaces are A1 select grades. Plain sliced American Walnut, White Oak, Maple and Cherry, applied in a “reverse slip match” fashion resulting in a balanced appearance, as well as slip match Sapele (Mahogany), are the standard veneers used. Ash Burl, Birdseye Maple, and Crotch mahogany veneers are standard or any option on selected products only. Anigre veneers are available at an up-charge. Every effort is made to match solid wood and veneer of like color and grain, however, since wood is a natural material, some variation in grain, color, and character may occur.
• A seven step open pore finish is standard. It is a rich, lustrous, water and alcohol resistant 30° satin sheen, multi-coat precatalized top coating applied over a “hand rubbed” wiping stain. Color consistency is maintained by constant comparisons to “control panels” at every step in the finishing process.
• Going Green Eco-Friendly This Judges bench courtroom furniture has been awarded a Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody Certificate. Plus you will accumulate LEED points for Material and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, Low-Emitting Materials, Adhesives Sealants, and composite wood and laminate adhesives.
• Project management includes courtroom layout drawings and color renderings before ordering so you see exactly how your ideas and design will look. Installation/assembly performed by a professional installation company in your area within the lower 48 contiguous states. Shipment would be to their warehouse as a loading dock is required to accept shipments from a specialized 53' length truck designed specifically for office furniture transportation.
  
  

  OPTIONS:

• Optional Bullet proofing: Many courtroom facilities require bulletproofing in the Judge's bench. Most series can be bulletproofed. We typically use OF 300, Level 3 protection, which will stop a 44 magnum bullet. A fiberglass panel is sandwiched between finished wood panels and is not visible from front or back.
• Raised base: Either 6", 8", or 12" high. Includes interior ribbing with cut-outs to facilitate cabling, removable hatch under work-surface for access to cables, and wire chase in corners. Covered in Forboro for durability. ADA ramps are also offered. Pictured above left.
• Installation/assembly: performed by a professional installation company in MOST cities, but not all within the lower 48 contiguous states.
